The same can be said for The Lord of the Rings. Those two were so popular that people wanted to put them into their college applications and that contributed to the popularity of that particular world.When I was in college, I wrote a paper on The Lord of the Rings and we spent the night in a Tolkien inspired castle, or so it seemed. Why would that be anything less than interesting to a college student? I'm not even sure that it would be an entertaining essay if they didn't have something far more significant to say. It might even make a little sense if the student actually wrote a college application essay on their own motivations for learning about the game.Have you ever wondered what the world of Dungeons and Dragons would be like if people lived in a world where magic and dragons were real? Would there be wars, plots, intrigue, and huge issues that would need to be resolved? A world where dragons ruled was an exciting thing, and I wonder how much the students would learn about themselves by experiencing that adventure.Dragons are magical creatures that allow people to fly and control wind. These creatures also lend themselves to warfare and physical strength, which make for a great theme when putting the student into character. A character in D&D is a professional who has been trained in areas like logic, strategy, and exe cution.The professors at my college actually went to a university which had numerous campuses where students could travel on airplanes and go to the other areas where dragons lived. This was a novel concept, and not only did they travel, but they also learned how to communicate with these magical creatures. Not only was this valuable experience for the students, but it allowed them to learn about the business and economics of their world. If they were going to take a character, they needed to understand how their characters were living and what they needed to do to survive.How exciting would it be to be part of an environment where dragons controlled the weather and governed the economy? Wouldn't that be exciting? In fact, if that is something you would consider doing when applying to college, then I suggest that you read up on the D&D universe.There are many reasons to apply to universities where dragons live. They would offer you a better education, and you wouldn't have to compet e with other people who have applied to be wizards. You might also get to visit a kingdom where dragons actually live, which would certainly be exciting. Just make sure that you choose a college that has a location of interest that is based on a fantasy world.
